A Statement On The Beheading!
#1

Salaam Alaikum!

Given the stupefying enormity of the treacherous acts of barbarism committed by the self-congratulating terrorists--Muslims need to condemn the actions committed by the pigs of society who beheaded an innocent man by the name of Paul Johnson. Again, actions of low-down merit have been attributed to the house of Islam. We Muslims must take the initiative to abhor and protest these actions by standing up for what Islam is. The actions are anathema to Islam and thwart any effort of bringing the true message of Islam to the non-Muslim world. It must be asked–nay demanded–for Muslims to trash these horrendous acts and condemn them for the savagery that they emit.

Muslims please post your opinions.

But what about the 12000 Iraqies who were killed by USA troops? if 3-4 ppl r beheaded that is NOTHING as compared to HOW much the Iraqies r suffering ! [Image: dry.gif]

I am shocked and totally disgusting with the acts that are being committed by muslims whilst they scream Alahu akbar. [Image: sad.gif] Its Cowardic in every sense and form to take Islam as a shield while they soak their hands with the blood of an unjust killing.

I fail to see the reason and point of chopping the head off a innocent-unarmed-civilian man. My heart is broken, it really saddens me to see the horrific and inhuman acts that are being committed in the name of ALlah.

The killing of one life is equal to that of all humanity all together. I hope that they will all be brought to justice, they are murders! There is No difference between those veiled men who slaughtered paul johnson and the torturers of ABu ghuraib.

Sobhan Allah, the whole situation is really becoming too complicated for anyone to comment on, in case we fear Allah, and taking in consideration that what we type or say is recorded for or against us.

I simply leave it up to Allah, to show the truth soon, as in who is guilty and who is not.....

We can never know, again if this happended, on which ground they did this..

What are their allegations and arguments for doing it..

May Allah help the Ummah, we are really going through a lot. and we just do the same thing, we feel threatended and needing to express to the world about true Islam.

la hawla wala qowata ila billah

I am just trying to put forth few points, why dont we all look at the US putting almost all Muslims as enemies. I know a brother, American Muslim, who was visited by the FBI in his new job, just because he is a Muslim. Many other cases we dont want to bring here. The issue in multifaceted and too complicated for one to give rhetoric comments as we Muslims always pushed to do.

I was longing for a gravital Muslim response, but I have yet to see one. I hope more Muslims will come out and condemn the terrorists unequivocally and inflinchingly.

I admire your optimism Ibn but alas, it seems forum members are either indifferent, or have no problem with it.

Salaam Alaikum!

I would also add worldwide. More serious, however, is that, there has been little from Muslim speakers on it. I've been to many forums, chats and dialogues and little has been said on the issue, much less a universal condemnation. I presume that most are waiting for the Muslim speakers to say something about it and then come out and condemn it afterwards. Sounds like rote authority-worship to me. I hope more and more Muslims will just come out and fervidly condemn it to the fullest. (with the exception of Shereen, Muslimah and Senorita) That is the kind of Jihad I've been opting for. Then again, no one ever said the “Sirat Mustaqeem” (“Strait Path”) would come short and sweet. And no one ever said there was an alternative to its lengthy walk, either.

Brother Ibn Kumuna, I didn't c u asking for condemnation on what Israel is doing, or what the Americans are doing.

What these terrorists are doing okay we agree it is not Islamic, it is barbaric, whatever u want to call it. But what about what the jews are doing or what the americans are doing, Iraqi women are raped daily by american soldiers, and they are pictured and put on video tape as well, in Israel palestinian girls are being raped, children are killed, there were 2 Iraqi scholar girls killed yesterday I guess, and before that a law deen at the Iraqi university and her husband they were both killed and beheaded. why dont u condemn that, I think that condemnation thing we will leave it to Allah the Almighty, he will punish them, and what we muslims should do is educate ourselves and raise a new generation that fears no1 but Allah, and then we will rule as prophet Muhammad(sws) ruled along with the Khulafa' Alrashedeen, only then there will be just in this world and only then there will really be human rights, I think the pictures abeer provided is enough.

Asalaamu alaikum,

I have been very busy and unfortunately (or fortunately, perhaps) have not been keeping abreast of the latest developments in Iraq. These latest actions by the terrorists are disgusting, deplorable and most importantly completely unIslamic.

If we look at the murders on a purely strategic level, the killings have done nothing to deter the coalition from deploying troops or from retreating. In fact, it probably has strengthened their resolve. If the terrorists are clever, they'll find another way of helping Iraq (if that is what they think they're doing). Somehow, I doubt they will change their tactics.

May Allah guide us all onto the straight path.

Asalaamu alaikum,

For starters, the pictures that abeer provided should not have been approved. I appreciate what he is trying to get across, but it would be much better if we had a link or some other sort of warning. If johndoe (or anyone else for that matter) so wishes, then it seems he is quite welcome to post pictures of the beheaded men as well. Then it goes on an on ad infinitum

Nobody is denying that atrocities have been committed on BOTH sides. Why can we as Muslims not condemn an action without having to resort to the "but they started it" argument?

Our intentions are always taken into account by Allah (SWT) but having good intentions does not make disobedience permissible. It if forbidden to murder a civilian. It is forbidden to kill for any other reason than for Allah's cause. We, as Muslims can say that, can we not? We cannot judge the other person but surely we can judge the action as impermissible?

There is a hadith which unfortunately I cannot find at the moment. One of the sahabas (may Allah be pleased with him) was about to kill a kafir during battle. He had his sword up ready to strike. At that very moment, the kafir spat on the sahaba's face. The sahaba then dropped his sword and simply walked away. The kafir ran to ask him why he did not kill him when the opportunity was there? He replied that when he was ready to kill, he was ready to kill for the sake of Allah. When the kafir spat on his face, he would have killed him out of anger.

THESE are the people we should be emulating!
